Since the head honcho got a PS3 for his birthday, have any ideas for games we HAVE to play?
We have Motocross (Gorgeous graphics!! Not that that makes a great game, but still...) and Warhawks.
What else is shiny?

Without a doubt i would have to recommend both Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction.
Uncharted is an action packed third person shooter with an emphasis on cover. Think Gears of Wars, but instead of a war torn planet ur in the jungle, and instead of the locusts ur killing people.
Ratchet & Clank is well....Ratchet & Clank. It's pretty much the same as its PS2 predecessors. But then again thats not a bad thing. The action/platformer is cute, cuddly and best of all its good for the kids as well

Well - lets see - first impressions of the PS3 are very good - graphics are killer (not that the 360 is bad...) - they are just different... Interface seems clean - it is a lot like my PSP. USB for the head sets is a nice touch and although I have not tried it out yet, it seems you could have two people on one PS3 both using head sets - NICE... I also really like the ability to charge the controllers right from the system - THAT is a nice touch...
As I start playing some of the games I will post more...

Aww, it's all good though, none of us are exactly clamoring to play any Sony games right now. That is unless someone can steer us in the right direction....

Although I don't have PS3, there is 1 game that I think you should get when it comes out. It is called Killzone 2. I played Killzone, and it was one of the best games I've ever played. Before release it was known as "the Halo Killer". Now keep in mind, this was before Halo 2 and 3, so Halo was the best thign since sliced bread. Anyway, you are a Rebel Alliance fighting the Galactic... I mean Helghast Empire =). Story line is similar to Star Wars if you got that reference, but it is a great game. The campaign was fun, and the online play was fluent and enjoyable. I'm sure Killzone 2 will be even better than the first.

It looks good, but the first Killzone was a huge letdown. I hope Sony doesn;t mess this one up

Well for Pain which is a download game that comes with the 80GB units it took about 10 minutes to download EACH INDIVIDUAL PATCH... This is one of the areas that Xbox LIVE is way ahead of Sony...
BTW Pain is an absolute blast! Even if you did not get it for free you owe it to your self to download it...

No clue about Microsoft but we did watch our first Blu-ray movie and it was phenomenal! The interface was a bit clunky but WOW we love our Blu-ray player!

Dont Forget Brown microsoft is a crazy company they are relaunching the 360 soon with the overhauled dashboard to say they microsoft wouldn't do it would be to forget that its the console that keeps changing to be like everything else.

I guess ur right, but i do believe the dashboard is in desperate need of a makeover. Not to mention the new dashboard looks friggin sweet!
Plus the 360 control is perfect (minus the d-pad) so why change it

more is usually better and since motion doesnt really change much itd be awesome. I mean of all the consoles the xbox has the most wasted talent the ps3 uses its abilities where as it took until endwar to show up for M$ to say hey lets I unno use voice recognition.
