Lets blame the everybody else story
after you read the story here's my take on this
1. You helped kid pack up idiot 2 let kid buy 17+ M game idiot 3 you statement "It could be organized crime or someone involved in Internet gambling. Pedophiles can stalk kids through these games," Has anybody else heard of a real case of that happening of is just a continual story that it has but no proof?
Don't get me wrong I hope the kid ok and will be home today all fine and everything but i have a problem with the parents using gaming as the cause not their crappy parenting edited by phkna on 10/24/2008

This is really a sad story. But, wow, we can't blame the gaming industry on this one. PHKNA, I totally agree with you. Number four on your list should be , if you feel like your kid is doing something too much, don't you GET it under control? If my kid's grades slipped from playing a game you better believe there would be time limits set. That's called parenting.
My heart goes out to these people. What a tragedy.
Somebody needs to educate parents about what goes on with online gaming. Most are completely unaware of what their kids are exposed to or what their own kids say/do. I think if parents were more aware, they could be more rational about the whole thing.
